What does MAG do for you?

INFORMATIVE MEETINGS - conducts monthly meetings featuring networking, dinner and informative programs concerning masonry and other construction issues. These meetings provide an "open forum" for those involved in the industry and are usually held at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center on the first Thursday of the month in January, February, April, May, August, September and November.

NEWSLETTER - publishes "Off the Wall" our e-news, member updates, technical information and the latest in masonry news. 

EDUCATION - sponsors a Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training, Department of Labor certified, Masonry Apprenticeship Program which trains students to lay brick and block to the line as well as exposing them to different types of masonry units. Our Apprenticeship Program is currently on hiatus, effective January, 2012. Please check this page in late summer/early fall, 2012 for an update on the status of our program.

Supports the continuing education of its members by developing and hosting new masonry certification programs.

AWARDS/RECOGNITION - recognizes those who best represent the masonry industry through the Annual Craftsmanship Awards which honor excellence in masonry construction and the Associate of the Year which honors the associate who has made a significant impact in the masonry industry.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY - publishes an annual web directory of current association members.

WALL RAISER GOLF TOURNAMENT - hosts an annual fund raiser to benefit promotion and apprenticeship programs; provides a relaxing afternoon with others in the industry.

FALL OUTING - gives members a chance to get away with their families and enjoy the annual convention weekend attending seminars, golfing and having fun.

PROMOTION - extends knowledge about the industry to architects, general contractors and others through links with www.masonrysystems.org; maintains a Wall Cost resource book; creates and hosts masonry certification programs; maintains a presence on the web.
